In 2012 I learned how to rack up millions of airline miles and hotel points using my regular household spending and travel credit card sign up bonuses. Learning how to “travel hack” has now saved me over $100K in travel costs and opened the door to amazing travel experiences. I’ve traveled to 5 continents and 22 countries and counting (next up: Singapore, Bali and Hong Kong).
I’m also the host of the award-winning Globetrotter Lounge Podcast. It won the Wanderful Award at the 2019 Bessie Awards for Women in Travel. It is given to a brand that has gone above and beyond to support, empower, and represent women in the past year. From Wanderful CEO Beth Santos:
“The Wanderful Award is special because it honors someone not only for their great work, but specifically because that work is focused on lifting other women in travel. That’s why we are particularly excited to give this award to Lisette Austin, whose Globetrotter Lounge podcast features dynamic women in travel from a number of backgrounds who are doing amazing things. Her dedication to telling their stories is powerful, and we can’t wait to hear more from her.”
I’m also the host for the Nav.it Podcast, which is dedicated to inspiring women to become prosperous on their own terms – elevating the way they experience the world and redefining what wealth means to them. Nav.it is a money management app that provides practical finance, life and travel tips – while speaking to the feminine experience.
