I’m Lisette, travel podcaster and award travel expert. I’m the host of the award-winning Globetrotter Lounge Podcast, interviewing diverse women who have found creative ways to travel more. (Learn more about the podcast.)
In 2012 I learned how to rack up millions of airline miles and hotel points using only regular household spending and travel credit card sign up bonuses. So far I’ve saved over $100K in travel costs and always have over a million miles and points at my disposal. I teach others how to earn miles and points through my online course, Jet Set 101: Becoming a Travel Hacker.
I’m now working on a new podcast project called Traveling My Roots. I plan to journey to where my adoptive and biological ancestors are from – through North America, Europe and Africa. Along the way I will explore Black history, the immigrant experience, the complexities of adoption and being multracial – and ultimately my own identity.
The show will offer a window into what the new DNA travel trend is about – demystifying the process, providing genealogy tips, and inspiring you to uncover hidden family histories and embark on your own heritage travel adventures.
