In this episode I talk with Cris Soady, a linguist who was born in El Salvador but grew up in the United States. In 2014, she and her husband left the US to start a life in Latin America, driving across 13 borders before finally settling in Argentina. They opened a successful restaurant in Buenos Aires, and Cris has found a creative way to bring in additional income. She shares why her family came to the US, why she and her husband decided to live abroad, how they made their travel dreams a reality, and many more inspiring adventures and insights.

Cristabel Soady is a linguist who provides services for translation, transcription, subtitling and voice-over projects. She has worked for Netflix, Amazon, Marriott and other global companies. She has worked on projects in the United States, Canada, Spain, India, Ireland, England and China. She’s loved being involved with amazing projects and learning so much about what is going on in the world; both good and bad. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing Flamenco, dabbling in design, and getting involved in her local community. Cristabel lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina with her husband.
